About Us.... Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
Most of our "About Us" years have been spent in the daily grind of the corporate business world. Between the two of us, we have been employed with many companies and held numerous positions. We have college degrees, my wife in Nursing, and myself in Business Administration. Our main pastimes, or hobbies if you will, are sports and reading. I'm sure you can figure out which one goes where! We have two children both of whom are in their twenties and pretty much doing their own thing. We are as close to empty nesters as can be at this point.
Combined, we have 20+ years of upper management experience in the areas of Retail, Purchasing, and Medical Management. I've since moved away from the corporate rush and have been working out of my home office, whereas my wife still thrives in the upper management position of her Medical Management Company. When we decided to delve into the journal publishing arena we realized that there was another niche out there that seemed to be untapped. Journaling is an area that is thriving and should continue to thrive as more and more baby boomers pick up on the idea. If you go into any major book chain or internet bookstore you will see hundreds and hundreds of different journals. All different shapes and sizes, blank pages or "fill in the blank" pages, some with fancy leather snap down holders and others with just plain old cardbord covers, and everything in between. We decided that what we were going to do was create a journal that was like no other. Most all journals are pretty bland in appearance; they tend to be full of blank pages or full of "fill in the blank" pages that are too intense and micro-managed; they are intended for private viewings by the author only; and lastly, there is no fun or humor anywhere to be found. Thus, the birth of the Anti-Journal...The Hobby Journaling Fun and Easy Series. By design, our journals are everything that a regular journal is not. They are fun and energizing, and like no other in appearance; the inside pages are full of enjoyable and unique items that set them apart from all others; they are intended as a coffee table piece; and lastly, humorous entries are filtered throughout to add a real touch of fun!
We feel that this is the culmination of our personal and professional backgrounds....books, retail, purchasing, sports, humor and artistic talents. We hope you will find as much enjoyment in using them and/or giving them as gifts, as we have in creating them. Enjoy!

In conjunction with our journals, we also decided to become members of the PMA. The PMA, The Independent Book Publishers Association is a trade association of independent publishers. Founded in 1983, it serves book, audio, and video publishers located in the United States and around the world. Its mission is to advance the professional interests of independent publishers. To this end, PMA provides cooperative marketing programs, education and advocacy within the publishing industry. PMA's membership of more than 4,000 publishers continues to grow rapidly.
